Shore D grades are measured on a different, harder durometer scale from the Shore A range. A compound at 40 Shore D is substantially harder than one at 90 Shore A, so the two scales are listed separately rather than merged into a single ranking. FARRPRENE Shore D compounds are extrusion grades for rigid profiles, structural trim and load-bearing sections that must hold their shape while retaining impact resistance.
