Flexible SEBS/SBS-based TPE compounds for construction mechanical parts - profile seals, gaskets, expansion-joint inserts, grommets, and anti-slip pads. Compliance-critical applications need qualification to the relevant standard.

OUR MISSION
We engineer flexible, recyclable TPE compounds for construction sealing and mechanical parts, matched to your hardness and processing requirements.

OVERVIEW
In construction, thermoplastic elastomers are used for extruded sealing profiles, glazing gaskets, expansion-joint seals and waterproofing components: parts that must compress against a mating surface, recover, and keep doing so through thermal movement. TPE profiles are extruded rather than cured, so they can be produced continuously, welded at corners and reprocessed. FARRPRENE extrusion grades cover the soft compression band used for glazing and weather seals through to firmer grades for moulded spacers and fittings.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Typical Shore A bands by part type. Selection guidance, not a specification - confirm against your own duty cycle. Rigid Shore D grades are a separate range.
| PART TYPE | TYPICAL BAND | WHY |
|---|---|---|
| Glazing gaskets and soft compression seals | 20-45 Shore A | Low compression force keeps glass and frame loads down while still filling the gap. |
| Window and door weather seals | 45-60 Shore A | Balances sealing compliance against the stiffness an extruded lip needs to hold shape. |
| Expansion-joint and movement seals | 50-65 Shore A | Must accommodate cyclic movement without taking a permanent set. |
| Hard-wearing weatherstrip and gasket profiles | 60-70 Shore A | Better abrasion resistance where the seal wipes against a moving surface. |
| Moulded spacers, end caps and fittings | 70-85 Shore A | Dimensional stability under load with residual flexibility for fitting. |
