TPE FOR CONSTRUCTION
Customized compounds, unparalleled resilience
Tailored Performance
We deliver innovative TPE compounds for construction, combining durability with customization. Our materials excel in weatherproofing and energy efficiency, revolutionizing seals and gaskets. Backed by decades of expertise, we provide high-performance solutions for modern building needs.

Unmatched Durability
Unlike conventional EPDM or PVC gaskets, our TPE compounds resist compression set, maintaining their sealing properties over time.

OUR MISSION
Farr Polychem’ mission is to deliver innovative, high-quality TPE solutions that enhance construction performance and sustainability, leveraging our expertise to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the built environment.
OUR RANGE OF PROUDUCTS
Farrprene grades | Typical construction parts | Critical property targets | Why the grade meets them |
---|---|---|---|
20 A | Machinery foundation pads, pipe-hanger cushions, acoustic isolation blocks | • Ultra-soft ≤ 25 Shore A for maximum deflection and vibration damping • ≥ 600 % elongation for crack-free service • Low density for easier handling | 20 A hardness and > 800 % elongation give extreme compliance and energy absorption; the very-soft durometer mirrors what isolation-pad suppliers specify for HVAC and generator mounts. |
45A grades for injection IU45A IF45A | Hand-tool grips, cable-gland grommets, waterproof pipe collars | • Mid-soft 40–50 A for comfortable grip and tight sealing • High fatigue life under flexing • Injection-mouldable around inserts | 45 A hardness with > 800 % strain and moderate melt-flow (≈ 2.5–4.5 g / 10 min) suits over-moulding on PP/ABS handles; the same hardness window is common in construction-tool grips and flexible boots. |
65A grades for injection IU65A IF65A IU65A2 IF65A2 | Corner blocks for PVC windows, glazing-channel inserts, shower-door gaskets | • Soft-touch 55–65 A with low compression-set • UV- and ozone-resistant over decades • Direct adhesion to rigid PVC or PP | 65 A hardness, > 800 % elongation and SEBS chemistry bond reliably to rigid plastics, matching the property profile of long-life TPV window-seal materials. |
65A grades for extrusion EF650 EF651 EF652 | Continuous window- & door-profile seals, facade spacer tapes | • 60–70 A for the right sealing force • Very low melt flow (≤ 0.8 g / 10 min) for profile precision • Excellent weatherability | These grades provide 65 A durometer with melt-flow as low as 0.08 g / 10 min, maintaining tight tolerances in multi-hollow glazing profiles while resisting UV and ozone. |
EF700 | Parking-deck & facade expansion-joint wing seals, waterproofing tapes | • Stiffer 70 A for compression-set below 25 % during joint cycling • Ultra-low melt flow (~ 0.01 g / 10 min) for thick wing profiles • High tear resistance | EF700 pairs 70 A hardness with exceptional melt strength, ideal for large co-extruded or block-out joint seals that must stay watertight under traffic and thermal movement. |
85A grades IF85A EF85A | Slip-resistant stair-nosing inserts, heavy-duty floor expansion strips, anti-slip ramp mats | • High hardness 80–90 A for abrasion resistance • Tear strength ≥ 20 kN m⁻¹ • UV, chemical and cleaning-agent resistance • Good colourability for safety coding | 85 A hardness combines with > 800 % elongation and tensile strengths up to 12 MPa (injection grade) to produce rugged, colour-stable wear surfaces for stair edges, ramps and floor joints. |
All “I-” and “E-” Series | Pipe-penetration waterproof sleeves & deck gaskets | • Reliable watertight compression seal • Flexibility from –40 °C to +100 °C • Compatibility with fire-sleeve systems | The SEBS matrix remains flexible at low temperatures and bonds easily to stainless or coated-steel collars, enabling one-piece moulded or co-moulded sleeves that maintain building-code fire and water seals. |
