OVERVIEW
Farrprene IF753A is a firm, hard-wearing compound for structural flexible parts, seals and bushings. Supplied as a natural filled grade optimised for injection-moulding, it pairs the soft-touch feel of rubber with the clean, fast processing of a thermoplastic - no curing, fully re-meltable scrap.
The grade delivers a tensile strength of 7 MPa, elongation at break of >800%, and a specific gravity of 1.080. Its high melt flow (MFI 38 g/10 min at 190°C/5 kg) fills thin-wall and complex injection geometries with short cycle times. UV Stabilized · Heat Stabilized.
This is a SEBS-based compound. SEBS is the hydrogenated form of SBS: removing the double bonds from the mid-block gives it substantially better resistance to UV, heat and oxidation, which is why it is the usual choice for parts that see sunlight, warm service or a long design life.
At 61 g/10 min (230°C/5 kg) it is a moderate-flow injection grade, better suited to thicker sections than to thin-wall or long-flow tooling. Its specific gravity of 1.080 reflects the mineral filler loading, which is what buys the dimensional stability and cost position of a filled grade.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
- Structural flexible parts and snap-fit components
- Hard-wearing seals, bushings and grommets
- Profiles and trim requiring shape retention
- Automotive interior trim, NVH and sealing components
- Household goods, handles and seals
PROCESSING
- Runs on standard injection-moulding equipment; pre-drying is generally not required for unfilled grades.
- Filled formulation tuned for cost-efficiency and dimensional stability.
- Heat-stabilised: the additive package is intended to limit degradation during processing and repeated re-melting of regrind.
- UV-stabilised for components exposed to sunlight. Real service life depends on exposure, colour and section thickness, so qualify an outdoor part against its actual duty cycle.
- SEBS-based: the hydrogenated backbone gives better UV, thermal and oxidative stability than an SBS compound.
- Colour-matchable and re-processable - production scrap can be re-melted and reused.
