It can be injection moulded or extruded, requires no chemical vulcanisation, and can be re-melted and reprocessed. FARRPRENE is a range of SEBS-based thermoplastic elastomer compounds supplied in 48 grades covering 15 to 90 Shore A and 40 to 52 Shore D, in translucent (unfilled) and natural (filled) variants, colour-matchable to a customer reference. Two durometer scales are in use and they are NOT interchangeable. Shore A measures softer, rubber-like compounds; Shore D measures harder, more rigid ones. A grade at 40 Shore D is substantially harder than one at 90 Shore A. Grades are therefore listed Shore A first, then Shore D, each ordered by its own reading - never merged into a single numeric ranking. Grade naming: the leading letter indicates the intended process - "I" for injection moulding, "E" for extrusion, "IE" for compounds suited to both.
